OPEN YOURSELF UP TO THE OUTDOORS!!

I think the first time I actually saw beautiful glass walls that completely open up to the outdoors was while watching a Hollywood movie on the big screen in a theater many years ago. I believe they were installed in a large modern house that was overlooking the ocean, a lake or some body of water. I can remember thinking "Wow, those are really cool", I must say I was completely in awe, and found them to be absolutely fascinating.
Now jump ahead a decade later, they seem to becoming very mainstream and I'm seeing them more and more. I decided to visit a NanaWall Showroom to educate myself about their great innovation glass wall system that I was surprised to find out that they were designed well over 30 years ago.
Not only are these glass wall systems being used in residential homes, but they are more frequently being installed in commercial applications like: restaurants, bars, hotels, office buildings, educational facilities, car dealerships, retail establishments and in sport venues all over the world. I have to say they are absolutely fascinating to watch in full operation.
Since I'm an Interior Designer I was most intrigued by their residential folding wall systems and was pleased to learn that they come in either: aluminum framing for more (modern applications) and wood and clad framing for more (traditional applications). There are 50 Standard Finishes to select from and over 200 Colors available in powder coat and anodized finishes for the Aluminum and Clad Systems and offer custom matched colors along with simulated wood effects.
NanaWall also offers 6 Standard Wood Finishes, (Douglas Fir, Pine, Spruce, Oak, Meranti and Sapeli Mahogany) other specialty woods are available for additional costs. I loved the fact that they offer custom sizes, hardware and glazing options.
This really gives Designers and homeowners plenty of choices to select from, giving their homes that unique individual styling.
Now style as they say, does come with a price. The residential glass wall systems that I personally looked at ranged from $1k -$1.5k per lineal foot for material only, not including installation, but can be installed in either new construction or remodeling projects. But, if you love the outdoors as much as I do...they are well worth the price.
These NanaWall Glass Wall Systems that I looked at, were Absolutely Beautiful, made of Quality Craftsmanship, Opened and Closed with ease and were Highly Secure. I look forward to installing them in my own house someday!!  www.CynthiaAnnDesign.com #NanaWall #GlassWallSystems #SlidingGlassWalls
